Breaking boundaries in surveillance, Sparsh CCTV and Japan’s DMP unite to build edge AI cameras, promising faster, smarter, privacy-focused monitoring for global security needs.
Sparsh CCTV has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Japan’s Digital Media Professionals Inc. (DMP) to jointly develop next-generation edge AI CCTV cameras.
According to the companies, this collaboration will integrate DMP’s Di1 semiconductor technology with Sparsh’s expertise in hardware design, system development, and prototyping.
The initiative aims to advance intelligent surveillance systems by embedding artificial intelligence directly within the device. The companies will explore advanced camera architectures capable of supporting AI-enabled video analytics across sectors such as smart cities, transport, infrastructure, and enterprise security.
“Innovation in design, engineering, and manufacturing has always been at the core of our technology roadmap,” said Sparsh’s Founder and Managing Director, Sanjeev Sehgal, highlighting the fact that this partnership represents the next step towards more intelligent surveillance systems.
The partnership comes as global demand for AI-enabled surveillance grows. Edge AI reduces reliance on cloud infrastructure, improving latency, bandwidth efficiency, and privacy protection. This shift reflects a broader industry move towards AI-driven analytics and real-time monitoring.
DMP’s Chairman and CEO, Tatsuo Yamamoto, added: “Being able to collaborate with Sparsh, which has an established business foundation in India, a market with particularly high growth potential, represents a major step forward in expanding business opportunities for Di1.”
