Tata Power Welcomes Acclaimed Mountaineer Baljeet Kaur As Sustainability Champion

Tata Power has announced the addition of renowned mountaineer Baljeet Kaur to their team as a sustainability champion within the company’s renewables business. In the demanding and awe-inspiring realm of mountaineering, 27-year-old Baljeet Kaur has emerged as a standout figure, marked by her exceptional achievements. In 2023, she received the prestigious Gold Medal for Excellent Performance in Mountaineering from the Indian Mountaineering Foundation. Baljeet’s remarkable feats include being the first Indian to conquer seven peaks towering above 8000 meters. She also holds the distinction of being the first Indian woman to ascend Mount Everest, Mount Lhotse, and Mount Manaslu, all achieved without supplemental oxygen, demonstrating extraordinary courage, unyielding determination, and unwavering resilience. These qualities resonate with Tata Power’s core values, which the company not only applauds but also instills in its workforce and community.
