Turntide Technologies has launched its advanced series of low and high-voltage power electronics and axial flux motors to meet India’s rising demand for sustainable transportation. This development reinforces Turntide’s commitment to supporting India’s electric vehicle (EV) ecosystem with innovative, locally manufactured solutions.
The new lineup includes the Gen 4, Gen 5, and Gen 6 series of inverters. The Gen 4 series caters to low-voltage applications (48 V to 80 V), ideal for two- and three-wheelers, offering compact and scalable solutions for seamless integration. The Gen 5 series, designed for hybrid and electric vehicles, operates at a nominal voltage of 350 VDC and delivers up to 400 A peak current, incorporating robust performance and advanced motor control capabilities.
The Gen 6 series, spanning a voltage range from 48 V to 800 V, is engineered for both traction and auxiliary systems, designed to excel in India’s challenging road and environmental conditions. Known for its compact design, high power density, and easy integration, the Gen 6 series brings electrification to EV and hybrid applications, helping manufacturers accelerate production timelines.
Complementing these inverters are the company’s axial flux motors, which offer high torque density and compact designs. These motors optimize energy consumption and reduce the total cost of ownership, particularly in space-constrained applications like hybrid vehicles. Developed in the UK and tailored for Indian conditions, these motors empower OEMs to create efficient, high-performing EVs.
“We are thrilled to introduce high-voltage axial flux motors in India, enabling OEMs to accelerate hybrid and EV innovations,” said Pradumna Walimbe, Managing Director of APAC at Turntide Technologies.
