Providing some advanced electronic surveillance machinery, Sparsh CCTV teams up with Indian Railways to boost security at Jammu Railway Division and railways stations in Prayagraj during the Maha Kumbh.
Indian electronic surveillance company Sparsh CCTV has partnered with Indian Railways to improve security at the newly inaugurated Jammu Railway Division. The collaboration focuses on strengthening safety measures and operational efficiency, particularly for the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL) and major railway stations during the Kumbh Mela at Prayagraj.
The surveillance infrastructure installed at stations like Prayagraj Junction and Phaphamau Junction includes STQC-certified cameras, real-time video management systems, and crowd management tools designed to ensure smooth operations during the event.

The USBRL project, a key rail initiative for the region, benefits from Sparsh’s surveillance systems, which include fire and smoke detection, face recognition, and analytics for train speed. These systems are part of a larger command and control centre designed to monitor train movements and improve safety. The project includes the world’s highest railway bridge, the Chenab Bridge, and an extensive network of tunnels and bridges.
According to the company’s disclosure, the deployment of the surveillance infrastructure has been carried out in collaboration with key stakeholders including RailTel, Konkan Railways, and major integrators such as L&T, TATA, Siemens, and PSJV, contributing to the development of a robust safety framework for the project.
“We are immensely proud to contribute to both the USBRL project and the Maha Kumbh, two monumental initiatives that reflect India’s spirit of progress and unity. By delivering innovative, 100% Made-in-India solutions, we have reinforced our commitment to safety, quality, and the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat,” noted Sanjeev Sehgal, Founder and CEO of Sparsh.
