Leadership changes at ZF CVCS India as Paramjit Chadha steps in to lead post-integration operations and segment growth in the commercial vehicle space.
ZF Commercial Vehicle Control Systems India Ltd (NSE: ZFCVINDIA | BSE: 533023) has appointed Paramjit Singh Chadha as its new Managing Director following the retirement of P. Kaniappan. The ZF Group made the announcement on 2 July.
Chadha, a mechanical engineer by training, brings nearly four decades of experience in the automotive sector. He began his career at Maruti Suzuki, gaining early exposure to OEM operations.
He later held senior leadership positions at Kalyani Brakes, Bosch Chassis Systems, Continental Brakes, and Knorr-Bremse, where he worked extensively on safety-critical technologies, particularly braking systems for commercial vehicles.
Most recently, he worked with the ADM Group, where he led initiatives in manufacturing operations, digitalisation, and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) compliance.
In his new role, Chadha will oversee the company’s operations, localisation plans, and business development in the commercial vehicle sector.
His appointment comes amid tightening safety regulations and increased demand for advanced braking and control systems in India’s commercial transport industry.
Throughout his career, Chadha has led three greenfield projects and participated in industry forums, including the Automotive Component Manufacturers Association (ACMA) Centre for Excellence and the Indian Value Engineering Society (INVEST).
His primary area of expertise is in safety-critical components, particularly those related to braking systems.
Meanwhile, Kaniappan, who previously led WABCO India before its acquisition by ZF Group in 2020, played a notable role in overseeing the company’s post-merger integration and subsequent expansion in the Indian market.
