In January 2014, Elmex Electric Pvt Ltd introduced low voltage current transformers (CT) designed for measuring instruments and protective devices. These are suitable for system voltages of 415V-660V and a frequency of 50-60Hz. The basic construction is in three different categories, namely, PVC tape insulated, resin encapsulated and covered in plastic casing. Measuring CTs convert the primary current accurately, as designed, over a current that ranges from 1 to 120 per cent.
