In June 2014, Systellar Innovations launched a high voltage charge controller for application at petrol pumps and institutions where normal inverters are already installed. The charge controller offers hybrid functionality—converting normal inverters into solar inverters, prioritising solar charging during the daytime. Battery banks from 72V to 240V can be charged with up to 40A charging current. The product has been indigenously designed and developed at the company’s R&D lab and provides excellent performance at an affordable cost. Some of its unique features include an LCD display to indicate the status of battery and PV panel, an inbuilt power meter to display total solar units generated, user adjustable battery charging voltages, temperature compensated charging and equalisation charging mode.
