Marico Launches InnoWin Day To Foster Startup-Investor Connection

To connect startups with investors, Marico Innovation Foundation launched InnoWin Day in Mumbai, accelerating innovations in cleantech, agri-tech, and circular economy.

Marico Innovation Foundation (MIF) recently launched InnoWin Day in Mumbai to facilitate connections between Indian startups and potential funding sources.

The event aimed to accelerate scaling efforts for innovative technologies, addressing challenges such as climate resilience, agricultural transformation, water scarcity, and plastic waste management.

InnoWin Day gathered 24 innovators, including winners of the Indian Innovation Icons 2025 awards and participants from MIF’s Scale-Up programme. The innovators covered a broad spectrum of sectors, such as cleantech, agri-tech, and solutions for a circular economy.

The innovations presented ranged from converting stubble into furniture to developing motor systems that are rare-earth magnet-free and extracting moisture from the air.

Among the presenters were AssisTech Foundation, Chara Technologies, Indra Water, PARI, and Rocket Learning, as well as MIF Scale-Up innovators like Brisil, Caliche, GreenPod Labs, Ishitva Robotic Systems, PadCare, Ricron Panels, Uravu, and Urban Kisaan.

According to MIF, the event’s core focus was facilitating crucial connections with investors, corporates, and grantmakers, offering opportunities for market access, pilot projects, and potential investments.

Prominent investors and corporate partners, including Vedanta, Colgate-Palmolive, Reliance Industries, ITC, JSW Ventures, and the India Climate Collaborative, participated.

The event featured a keynote address by Harsh Mariwala, Chairman of Marico Limited and Founder of MIF, who emphasised the significance of collaboration for the growth of startups.

“It is vital for startups to build strong relationships. Investors and corporates are essential for startup growth – providing capital, guidance, market access, and expertise to help them scale. Innovation thrives through collaboration, and InnoWin Day is our effort to foster this,” he stated.

The event also included a panel discussion titled “Scaling Strategies” with Vaibhav Tidke, CEO of S4S Technologies, and Arindam Paul, CBO of Atomberg Technologies. Both shared their success stories of scaling niche innovations.

Suranjana Ghosh, Head of MIF, also spoke at the event, reinforcing the importance of a supportive ecosystem. She stated, “InnoWin Day is being launched today to ensure we bring all the right resources – capital, customers, and conversations- to our innovators. We recognise that these innovators have large-scale solutions that need the support of a wider ecosystem to scale.”
