Rohde and Schwarz opens a larger Osaki office to boost innovation support for Japan’s fast growing automotive community.
Rohde and Schwarz has opened a larger office in Osaki, Japan, replacing its earlier facility in Shinjuku, to significantly expand support for the country’s automotive industry. The new site offers enhanced capabilities for service, repair, calibration and engineering support of test equipment, along with increased space to host customer demonstrations and industry events.
The Osaki office will serve as a hub for showcasing advanced testing solutions developed in collaboration with leading automotive partners. Noashi Saito, General Manager of Rohde and Schwarz Japan, said the company was proud of the new facility and invited the Japanese automotive community to benefit from its expanded resources and local expertise.
A key focus at the new location is electromagnetic compatibility testing under dynamic driving conditions, particularly for electric vehicles. In collaboration with AIP Automotive, Rohde and Schwarz enabled realistic EMC evaluation using chassis dynamometers, automation software and radar target simulators, supporting faster testing and turnaround times through proximity to AIP’s nearby office.
Rohde and Schwarz is also strengthening vehicle network compliance testing in Japan through expanded collaboration with Granite River Labs and Analog Devices. The Osaki facility is equipped with advanced oscilloscopes and vector network analysers to support standards compliant testing, including OpenGMSL, tailored for the Japanese market.
In addition, partnerships with IPG Automotive and MediaTek are expanding autonomous driving radar and non terrestrial network testing capabilities in Japan. The new office will support a growing number of local automotive projects, enabling faster development, validation and deployment of next generation connected and autonomous vehicle technologies.
