This 408 MW includes solar, wind and hybrid capacity, raising its total operational renewable capacity to 16GW.
Adani Green Energy Ltd (AGEL) operationalises 408.1 MW of renewable capacity at Khavda in Gujarat, taking its total operational capacity to 16,486 MW. The plants come online on 30 September 2025 following regulatory approvals.
Subsidiaries of Adani Green Energy commission the new projects. Adani Renewable Energy Fifty Six commissions 87.5 MW of solar, Adani Renewable Energy Forty One adds 124.8 MW of wind, and other subsidiaries contribute 195.8 MW of hybrid capacity.
The new capacity is divided across solar, wind and hybrid projects. These subsidiaries are set up as separate project companies, a standard structure in the power sector used to handle financing and operations at the project level.
Khavda forms the centre of AGEL’s long-term renewable strategy. The site is under development as a 30,000 MW renewable energy park, combining solar and wind projects across 538 square kilometres in Kutch district. Once complete, it is expected to be one of the largest single renewable energy parks in the world.
In May 2025, the company signed a power purchase agreement with Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Ltd to supply 400 MW of solar power. The power will be generated from a grid-connected solar project being developed in Rajasthan and supplied into the Uttar Pradesh grid. In April 2025, a subsidiary signed another agreement with the same utility to provide 1,250 MW of pumped hydro energy storage.
The company operates renewable assets across 12 Indian states. These include solar, wind, hybrid and pumped hydro projects. AGEL reports a 30 per cent year-on-year increase in operational capacity in FY25. It targets 50 GW of renewable capacity by 2030, supported by more than 5 GW of pumped storage projects and a USD 3.4 billion construction facility.
