Soaring with 330% revenue growth in FY25, startup IG Drones eyes ₹1 billion in FY26, backed by booming demand, new drones, and global expansion plans.
Drone manufacturer IG Drones has reported a 330% increase in annual revenue for FY25, reaching ₹224 million, a sharp rise from ₹51.7 million in FY24. The company recently shared that the surge was mainly driven by strong demand in both the defence and private sectors.
Founded by Bodhisattwa Sanghapriya and Om Prakash, the startup has focused on ‘Made-in-India’ drone technologies. In FY25, government contracts and private deals contributed to a 60:40 revenue split. It sold over 200 drones during the year, up 300% from FY24.
Starting its journey in 2018 from Gurugram, IG Drones expanded its manufacturing capacity to 1000 units in FY25, with plans to reach over 2500 drones by FY26. The company is also preparing to launch three new drones in the first quarter of FY26.
“Our target is to reach ₹1 billion in annual revenue by FY26. We have a significant order pipeline for Quarter 1 and are in the process of closing multiple deals. Additionally, we will be launching three new drones in Quarter 1. The drone ecosystem in India is growing, and we are proud to be one of the leading players contributing significantly to this growth,” said Bodhisattwa Sanghapriya, founder of IG Drones.
Furthermore, the startup has already secured over ₹200 million orders for FY26. It plans to raise $6 million through Series A funding, supported by existing and new investors. The funds will go towards scaling manufacturing, developing new products, and entering international markets. Earlier, it had raised $1 million last year from India Accelerator.
IG Drones is now focused on improving operational scale, profit margins, and product quality. According to the company, its innovations, including India’s first 5G drone and simulator, align with the national vision of making India a global drone hub by 2030.
