Smartphone brand iQOO is tapping into the growing gaming market by launching a search for a Chief Gaming Officer (CGO), targeting individuals under 25. The company is inviting young gaming enthusiasts aged 18-25 to apply for the role via iQOO India’s website.
According to iQOO CEO Nipun Marya, the position offers an exciting opportunity for passionate gamers to turn their interests into a rewarding career, as reported by the Economic Times.
The chosen CGO will work closely with the gaming community, gaining insights into gameplay, gaming style, presentation, and game interpretation. The role also involves collaborating with the company to design and develop new smartphones, in line with the brand’s eSports strategy, and engaging with top eSports players across India.
To support this role, iQOO is offering a remuneration of ₹1 million for a six-month tenure. This initiative comes as part of the company’s broader effort to capitalise on India’s rapidly growing gaming industry, which has seen an annual increase of 14.6 per cent in the number of gamers over the last six years.
In addition, iQOO has partnered with seven prominent gaming influencers to test and provide feedback on its devices, ensuring the technology aligns with the needs of gamers.
