The collaboration also comprises joint product design and development
Mindgrove Technologies has recently inked a deal with Prama India Private Limited. This collaboration aims to integrate its indigenously designed semiconductor chips into CCTV surveillance cameras and advanced video security systems.
Under this partnership, Prama India will incorporate Mindgrove’s proprietary Vision System-on-Chip (Vision SoC)—the company’s second chip, developed with support from the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology’s (MeitY) Design Linked Incentive (DLI) scheme—across its portfolio of video surveillance and security products.
The collaboration also comprises joint product design and development, with Mindgrove providing certification and regulatory support to ensure compliance with customer requirements and domestic and international standards.
Shashwath TR, Co-founder and CEO of Mindgrove Technologies, said, “For Indian fabless semiconductor companies, credibility is built when products leave the lab and enter sustained deployment. This engagement validates our Vision SoC as a production-ready platform capable of meeting performance, reliability, and scale requirements in real-world security systems.”
The partnership comes at a pivotal time as India accelerates efforts to strengthen its semiconductor ecosystem and reduce dependence on imported chipsets in strategic sectors such as security and surveillance. By embedding Indian-designed silicon into commercially deployed hardware, the collaboration aims to enhance technology self-reliance while improving supply-chain resilience.
Ashish P. Dhakan, Managing Director & CEO of Prama India, said, “At Prama, we believe the future of intelligent security will be driven by the convergence of artificial intelligence, semiconductor innovation, and trusted digital infrastructure. Our collaboration with Mindgrove marks an important milestone in advancing indigenous semiconductor capabilities for next-generation video security solutions.”
He added that the partnership aligns with India’s vision of becoming a global semiconductor and electronics manufacturing hub by combining Mindgrove’s chip design expertise with Prama’s strengths in video security, product engineering, compliance, and large-scale deployments. The collaboration is expected to deliver secure, scalable, and globally competitive surveillance solutions while strengthening India’s semiconductor ecosystem, fostering innovation, enhancing supply-chain resilience, and supporting the Government of India’s Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative.
With the Vision SoC moving towards sustained, high-volume deployment, the partnership reinforces Mindgrove’s transition from semiconductor design validation to commercial-scale adoption.
The company expects to see expansion in its SoCs portfolio in different applications, which let Indian and global hardware manufacturers to build secure, high-performance products powered by indigenous silicon.
