Qorix Joins AUTOSAR As Premium Member To Drive Automotive Innovation

With its expertise in middleware technology, Qorix aims to set new standards in vehicle safety, connectivity, and software integration, shaping the future of mobility and automotive innovation.

Middleware specialist Qorix has announced its new status as a premium member of the AUTOSAR (AUTomotive Open System ARchitecture) initiative. “We are more than excited about our partnership with AUTOSAR,” said Markus Schupfner, CEO of Qorix. “Our vision is to support and enhance automotive standards that will propel software-defined vehicles (SDVs) to the next level. By joining relevant working groups and leveraging our middleware expertise, we aim to drive the future of mobility forward.”

Modern vehicles often house over 100 electronic control units (ECUs) performing tasks such as engine control, safety systems, and driver assistance. These components communicate extensively, generating vast data volumes and highlighting the growing importance of seamless software integration. AUTOSAR addresses this challenge by developing standardized software architectures that ensure compatibility across ECUs from various manufacturers.

As a member, Qorix brings its extensive knowledge of middleware and software-defined vehicle technologies to the table. The company aims to optimize development processes and improve cost efficiency, reinforcing its commitment to enhancing vehicle safety, connectivity, and industry collaboration.

Middleware: The Backbone of Advanced Automotive Systems. Automotive middleware is a crucial software layer that bridges the vehicle’s hardware and application software, enabling seamless data exchange between components.

It provides a standardized interface that abstracts hardware complexities, making it easier to integrate advanced systems such as autonomous driving, connected infotainment, and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). By fostering modularity and scalability, middleware reduces development time and costs while ensuring safety and real-time performance. It enables automakers to deploy reusable software components across multiple ECUs, paving the way for robust, future-ready vehicle ecosystems.

Qorix specializes in middleware solutions tailored to modern automotive architectures. Its focus on modularity and high-performance standards allows manufacturers to integrate complex systems efficiently. As a premium AUTOSAR member, Qorix is poised to play a pivotal role in shaping global automotive standards and advancing the industry’s shift towards software-defined mobility.
