A major electronics cluster push near Noida airport? YEIDA eyes billions in investment and thousands of jobs across diverse manufacturing sectors.
The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has begun allotting industrial plots near Noida International Airport to electronics manufacturing firms.
According to a report by The Indian Express, companies including Havells India, Ascent K Circuit, and Polynomous Industries have secured plots in Sector 10 of YEIDA. The facilities planned on these sites will produce consumer electronics, printed circuit boards, and advanced polymer materials.
Letters of intent (LoI) have also been issued to Aurionpro Toshi Automatic Systems, Aditech Semiconductors, Shailsuta Projects, and Dixon Technologies (India).
Havells has been allotted 50 acres for a unit to manufacture fans, air-conditioners, lighting equipment, and cables, with an investment of about ₹8 billion. Ascent K Circuit has received 16 acres for a printed circuit board facility, including high-density interconnect and multilayer boards, with an investment exceeding ₹30 billion. Polynomous Industries has been granted 2.5 acres for the production of advanced polymer materials.
Shailendra Kumar Bhatia, Additional CEO of YEIDA and nodal officer for the airport project, reportedly said investment commitments worth nearly ₹30 million have already been attracted across sectors such as semiconductors, medical devices, and film production.
He noted that connectivity via the Yamuna Expressway, Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, Eastern Peripheral Expressway, and proposed RRTS corridors is expected to support industrial growth.
Meanwhile in February 2026, Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the groundbreaking of HCL-Foxconn’s semiconductor unit in the region. The Union government approved a ₹4.17-billion EMC 2.0 project in Gautam Buddha Nagar in 2025, covering 200 acres, with expectations of ₹25 billion in investment and 15,000 jobs.
The EMC 2.0 scheme, notified in 2020, provides financial support for clusters with shared facilities to strengthen supply chains and boost domestic manufacturing. Union IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has said the initiative aligns with the government’s focus on job creation and infrastructure development.
