The company is expecting to create opportunities across fabrication, painting, assembly, quality control, maintenance and warehousing
Zelio E-Mobility has recently opened its new manufacturing facility in Haryana. The new facility will develop electric scooters under the Zelio brand and Tanga electric three-wheelers. The additional capacity is expected to come on stream during Q3 FY2026–27, with production ramp-up depending on dealer demand, product mix and supply-chain readiness.
According to the company’s commitment, the investment will be more than ₹20 crore towards the facility under its approved capital expenditure plan. A part of the investment has been funded by the IPO, while the remaining requirement will be met through internal accruals.
The new plant takes Zelio’s manufacturing footprint to four facilities across Haryana, Odisha and Tamil Nadu. It is expected to improve product availability, strengthen supply to the company’s expanding dealership network and reduce replenishment timelines. This facility will help business to grow in tier-2 and tier-3 cities.
With in-house fabrication, painting and assembly lines the company will offer huge control over critical manufacturing processes and components while improving supply-chain reliability, cost management and operational efficiency.
The new facility will be beneficial in terms of manpower also. The company is expecting to create opportunities across fabrication, painting, assembly, quality control, maintenance and warehousing, along with indirect opportunities for local suppliers, logistics providers and allied businesses. Zelio also has a plan to expand the hiring process as production scales up and additional product lines are introduced. It is also adopting resource-efficient practices and evaluating central and Haryana state incentives, subject to applicable eligibility criteria and regulatory approvals.
The capacity expansion comes as Zelio reports strong revenue growth. The company has showcased major growth of 81.8% year on year to ₹313.68 crore in FY2025–26, while its revenue compound annual growth rate (CAGR) stood at 121% over the past four years. The company was made its name on the BSE SME platform in October 2025 at an issue price of ₹136 per share, raising ₹78.34 crore through its public issue.
“Our investment in Hisar is aimed at building these capabilities together. We also see an opportunity to develop local manufacturing talent and deepen our engagement with the industrial ecosystem in the region as operations scale”, said Divyanshu Agarwal, CEO, Zelio E-Mobility.
Kunal Arya, Managing Director, Zelio E-Mobility, added, “Demand from our dealers and customers continues to grow, and this new plant in Hisar gives us a stronger base to deepen our presence across Tier-2 and Tier-3 markets. We will pursue this expansion with a strong focus on profitability and disciplined growth.”
Zelio claims to have almost 400 dealers across over 25 states. It is aiming to achieve more than 550 dealerships by FY2027. With this new development in terms of facility expansion or dealership growth, the company is planning to create a strong presence in the market while maintaining its focus on profitability, working-capital discipline and long-term stakeholder value.
