The partnership is expected to support the adoption of EV powertrain technologies in India
Ghaziabad-based EV charging and power electronics startup Solterra Technologies has partnered with Taiwan-based power electronics manufacturer Sinpro Electronics to distribute EV powertrain components in India.
Under the partnership, Solterra Technologies will distribute Sinpro’s EV motors, motor controllers and DC-DC converters to electric vehicle manufacturers and mobility companies in the Indian market.
The collaboration combines Sinpro’s power electronics portfolio with Solterra Technologies’ presence in India’s EV and electrification market. The companies will also work on the integration and application of these components for electric mobility applications in India.
As part of its expansion, Solterra Technologies is setting up an R&D facility in Bengaluru, which is scheduled to be inaugurated on September 18, 2026. The facility will support product development, engineering, testing and technology adaptation for the Indian market. It will also serve as a base for technical collaboration with technology partners and OEMs.
Sagar Bose, Chief Technology Officer, Solterra Technologies, said the partnership will expand the company’s technology portfolio with EV powertrain solutions while strengthening its engineering capabilities in India.
Bill Su, EV Powertrain Leader, Sinpro Electronics, said India is an important market for electric mobility and that the partnership will bring Sinpro’s EV powertrain technologies closer to Indian OEMs and mobility companies.
The partnership is expected to support the adoption of EV powertrain technologies in India while enabling both companies to collaborate on solutions tailored to the requirements of the Indian electric mobility market.
