Powering innovation in telecommunications, smart factories, connected vehicles, and more, Altair and LTTS unveil an advanced 5G-6G centre of excellence in Bengaluru.
Tech company Altair and L&T Technology Services (LTTS) have recently launched a 5G-6G wireless centre of excellence (CoE) in Bengaluru for telecommunications, smart factory, connected vehicles, and related sectors.
According to the companies, the centre aims to combine Altair’s advanced design and simulation tools with LTTS’s industry expertise to address key challenges in connectivity, operational costs, and innovation delays.
Furthermore, the key focus areas of the centre will include 5G-6G network planning, the development of reflective intelligent surfaces and radio frequency (RF) design for 6G, and improving wireless connectivity for applications like smart factories, remote healthcare monitoring, and autonomous manufacturing systems.
Additionally, it will work on digital twins of 5G and 6G networks, as well as connected mobility and network failure predictions.
Using Altair’s HyperWorks and RapidMiner platforms, the CoE will also provide training, workshops, and collaborative spaces to support the adoption of these technologies across industries.
“5G and 6G technologies are reshaping the way industries operate, innovate, and deliver value,” said Stephanie Buckner, Chief Operating Officer of Altair, stating that the collaboration aims to enable organisations across all sectors to capitalise on the potential of wireless technologies, offering faster and more efficient solutions.
Alind Saxena, Executive Director and President of Mobility and Technology at LTTS, highlighted the partnership’s transformative potential, allowing industries to unlock the full capabilities of 5G and 6G and help build a more connected world.
“This partnership is a key milestone in building a more connected, intelligent, and efficient world,” he noted.
