Igniting Gujarat’s renewable future, Avaada Group signs ₹360 billion MoU for 5 GW solar, 1 GW wind, 5 GWh BESS.
Avaada Group signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Gujarat Government to invest ₹360 billion across Solar, Wind and Battery Energy Storage projects. The projects are expected to begin between 2027-2030.
Under the pact, Avaada Group will set 1 GW capacity of Wind Power Project, 5GW capacity of Solar Power Projects and 5GWh capacity of BESS Projects. The group will establish these projects across Banaskantha, Kutch, and Surendranagar districts of Gujarat.
These projects would generate over 1000 direct to 2000 indirect jobs in Gujarat. The projects will expand the transition to affordable and clean energy with delivering firm green power beyond solar hours through advanced battery storage.

The integrated renewable energy portfolio is set to greatly improve grid reliability while reducing over 12 million tons of CO₂ emissions and saving approximately 166 million litres of water annually through robotic module cleaning technology.
Avaada Group’s 280 MW solar power project in Surendranagar, Gujarat, was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Developed under the Gujarat State Solar Policy, the project spans 1,170 acres across the villages of Tavi and Varsani and represents a total investment of ₹15 billion. It features Avaada Electro’s ALMM-certified, Make in India TOPCon N-Type bifacial solar PV modules, highlighting the company’s focus on domestic manufacturing and technological innovation.
