Chasing US$50 million opportunities, amid rising cyber risks in connected vehicles, BCSSL and ConnectM team up to build EdgeAI security chips.
Blue Cloud Softech Solutions Ltd (BCSSL) has partnered with ConnectM Technology Solutions to develop a semiconductor-based EdgeAI system-on-chip (SoC) jointly focused on better automotive cybersecurity.
The memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed between the two companies aims to deliver secure, scalable and production-ready cybersecurity platforms for electric, connected and software-defined vehicles (EVs and SDVs) across global markets.
Both companies have agreed to a 50:50 revenue-sharing model after applicable costs and taxes. Subject to detailed agreements, the partnership is expected to generate about US$50 million in business between 2026 and 2030.
Under the agreement, BCSSL will lead the design and development of the EdgeAI SoC. The platform will integrate real-time threat detection, intrusion prevention and continuous security monitoring.
It is being designed for deployment in critical automotive systems, including telematics control units (TCUs), vehicle control units (VCUs), and other key onboard electronic modules.
BCSSL confirmed that the collaboration strengthens its push into automotive semiconductor development. It combines the company’s expertise in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence and secure systems with ConnectM’s capabilities in automotive hardware, diagnostics and OEM integration.
The SoC will be tailored specifically for ConnectM’s automotive platforms, while BCSSL will retain ownership of its core semiconductor design and cybersecurity intellectual property.
The platform will be engineered to meet leading global automotive safety and cybersecurity standards, including ISO/SAE 21434, UNECE WP.29 regulations R155 and R156, ISO 26262 and relevant Indian regulatory requirements. This will help ensure certification readiness and suitability for international automotive deployment.
Commenting on the development, Tejesh Kumar Kodali, Group Chairman of BCSSL, said the agreement represents a major strategic step. “By collaborating with ConnectM, we are combining advanced cybersecurity intelligence with automotive-grade hardware to build secure, future-ready solutions,” he said.
