The acquisition will strengthen BizLink’s presence in the data centre sector through the addition of Interplex Datacom’s products and capabilities.
Taiwan-listed BizLink Holding has agreed to acquire Singapore-based Interplex Datacom in a deal valued at $850 million as it seeks to expand its data centre business.
Reuters reported that the deal includes an enterprise value of $850 million in cash, along with up to $50 million in conditional consideration. Interplex Datacom is a division of Ennovi, a company backed by funds managed by Blackstone.
BizLink said the acquisition is intended to strengthen its position in the data centre market, a segment that has attracted growing investment as demand for digital infrastructure continues to increase. The company supplies interconnect solutions used across sectors including data centres, automotive and industrial applications.
Interplex Datacom develops interconnect and mechanical solutions used in data centre infrastructure. Its products support systems such as servers, switches and related equipment deployed in large-scale computing environments.
The acquisition will add to BizLink‘s portfolio and increase its presence in a market that continues to see growing demand for connectivity and infrastructure solutions. For the electronics industry, data centres remain an important area for components such as interconnects, cables and other hardware used to support computing and networking systems.
The deal marks one of BizLink‘s largest acquisitions as it continues to build its presence in the data centre sector.
