Hyderabad-based Blue Cloud Softech Solutions Limited has announced that its board has approved the full acquisition of US-based Global Impx Inc. The deal will be done through an all-share transaction, meaning no immediate cash outflow.
This move looks like a major shift for Blue Cloud as it tries to position itself in the growing space of AI-driven infrastructure, especially where energy and data centres are coming together.
The company will get access to a large land parcel of around 196 acres in Odisha (Chhatrapur area), where it plans to build data centres in three phases. They will be starting from 5 MW and will go up to 100 MW hyperscale capacity. The location is also close to port and highway connectivity, which is useful for infra projects.
Global Impx brings capabilities like solar energy, battery storage, microgrids, and energy-as-a-service models. It also works on AI-based energy optimisation and virtual power plant platforms.
The valuation of Global Impx is around ₹3.73 billion as per an independent valuer, but the deal is still subject to approvals, including shareholders’ nod in May.
Post acquisition, Global Impx will become a fully owned subsidiary, and multiple related entities will also come under Blue Cloud.
Janaki Yarlagadda, Chairman, Blue Cloud Softech Solutions Limited says, “We intend for the AI and data centre infrastructure platform to unlock new opportunities across India and international markets, while delivering long-term value for our shareholders.”
The Company MD, Vinod Babu Bollikonda further adds, “This is a long-term play to enter high-growth sectors like AI infra, renewable energy, and data centres”.
The Company is also planning to create a dedicated AI & Data Centre Infra vertical, which will focus on energy-backed data centres, battery systems, and AI-led optimisation.
Revenue is expected from infra projects, long-term contracts, and recurring digital services.
