CoMira’s technology will enhance Credo’s existing products, including ZeroFlap (ZF) Active Electrical Cables, ZF Optics, ALCs, and OmniConnect solutions
Credo Technology Group Holding Ltd has acquired CoMira Solutions, a company known for developing high-speed connectivity semiconductor IP. The move aims to strengthen Credo’s capabilities in building advanced solutions for next-generation AI systems.
With this acquisition, Credo will gain specialised technologies such as link layer design, error correction (ECC), and security semiconductor IP. These technologies will help develop new system-level solutions for large-scale AI architectures.
The CoMira team of engineers and designers has developed IP used in high-volume chips for networking, artificial intelligence, high-performance computing, and server applications. The company has also worked closely with major semiconductor firms to deliver custom connectivity solutions.
CoMira’s technology will enhance Credo’s existing products, including ZeroFlap (ZF) Active Electrical Cables, ZF Optics, ALCs, and OmniConnect solutions. The integration of CoMira’s team will also support future features for Credo’s AI connectivity platforms across multiple protocols, including Ethernet, ESUN, UALink, and PCIe.
Bill Brennan, president and CEO of Credo, said that CoMira’s advanced IP technologies will help the company improve connectivity at scale. He also welcomed the CoMira team and said the partnership will drive innovation needed for faster, more reliable, and energy-efficient AI clusters.
