Cyient Semiconductors has raised $30 million in funding from EAAA India Alternatives Ltd and its co-investors, at a $500 million valuation.
The amount comprises around $10 million in equity investment and $20 million in structured debt to support the company’s long-term growth plans. The fund will be used to strengthen its presence in product research and development, and to build semiconductor validation and testing facilities in India.
According to the company, the investment will help to expand its support for future growth opportunities and product portfolio.
While highlighting the challenges, Suman Narayan, CEO of Cyient Semiconductors, noted that power management has come out as a major challenge in the AI industry, and Cyient aims to develop advanced semiconductor solutions to meet this growing demand.
Cyient has recently acquired Kinetic Technologies, which has shipped more than 3 billion chips worldwide and owns a portfolio of over 250 products and 100 patents.
