Skilling meets innovation in Tamil Nadu, as Delta Electronics and TNSDC join forces to launch a no-cost CoE empowering rural youth with training in ESDM and automation.
Delta Electronics India has partnered with the Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation (TNSDC) to establish a new technical centre of excellence (CoE) in Krishnagiri district.
Aimed at bridging the skill gap in Tier 2 and Tier 3 regions, the CoE will focus on creating a pipeline of job-ready youth in high-demand industrial sectors. It will also offer three- to six-month training programmes in electronics system design and manufacturing (ESDM), industrial automation, programmable logic controller (PLC) programming and robotics.
Furthermore, the training will be delivered through a combination of smart classrooms, a real-time simulation zone, and hands-on learning with Delta’s automation technologies. All courses will be offered at no cost to the trainees.
The initiative is a part of Delta’s environmental, social and governance (ESG) vision and its broader commitment to skill development in India. The company stated that these programmes have been developed in collaboration with Delta’s technical experts and are aligned with international certification standards.
The formal signing of the memorandum of understanding (MoU) took place during the launch of the Naan Mudhalvan Finishing School (NMFS) initiative at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium in Chennai.
Benjamin Lin, President of Delta Electronics India, said, “As India moves rapidly toward becoming a global manufacturing hub, skilled talent will be the key differentiator. This CoE is a direct reflection of Delta’s belief in inclusive progress—bringing education, industry, and innovation together.”
Additionally, Delta will provide efforts to enrol women and candidates from economically weaker backgrounds. It will offer placement support, industry mentorship, and exposure to real-world factory environments.
Niranjan Nayak, Managing Director, Delta Electronics India, added, “Through CoE, we are not only strengthening our commitment to nation-building but also creating pathways for underserved youth to access opportunities in high-growth sectors.”
