New consumer technology start-up, Nothing, has said that it will launch its maiden product in June this year. Founded by OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei, Nothing’s first product, ‘Ear 1’ will be launched globally, including India. It is backed by CRED founder Kunal Shah.
In a blog post, CEO Pei said, “ Our mission is to remove barriers between people and technology to create a seamless digital future that looks, lives, and feels like nothing. For those hoping for a disappearing act overnight, Ear 1 falls short.”
“We believe the earphones market was begging for differentiation, space where we can elevate design and deliver value from day one. Additionally, as an area of hyper-growth, the earphones market will provide a fertile backdrop as we strengthen our capabilities and prepare to enter new product categories,” Pei added.
So far, the London-based company has successfully raised $22 million from investors, including GV, Twitch co-founder Kevin Lin, and Reddit CEO Steve Huffman.
