Investing heavily in local manufacturing, GameChange Solar scales up capacity in India to meet surging clean energy demand.
GameChange Solar, a leading US based solar tracker manufacturer, is expanding its presence in India as strong demand from corporate buyers drives rapid growth. The company aims to double its India revenue over the next few years and is now setting up a second manufacturing plant that will lift its domestic capacity from seven gigawatts to thirteen gigawatts, according to founder and chief executive Andrew Worden.
Sources indicate the new transformer facility will involve an investment similar to or greater than the two hundred crore rupees spent on the company’s first India plant in Taloja near Pune. India has become one of GameChange Solar’s fastest growing markets, with revenue crossing two thousand five hundred crore rupees in the financial year ending March thirty one twenty twenty five. The firm works with large commercial and industrial clients and already operates one factory supplying advanced solar tracker and transformer solutions.
The expanded plant will support a broad range of clean energy applications including utility scale solar, battery storage and data centers. Worden said the additional capacity will reduce import dependence and strengthen India’s position as an exporter of next generation transformer technology. The facility will feature advanced manufacturing systems, strict quality processes and streamlined production to meet global standards.
GameChange Solar’s tracker technology is designed to withstand harsh weather conditions across India, helping customers improve efficiency and lower project costs. With national electricity demand expected to nearly triple by twenty thirty five, the company sees strong long term potential for local manufacturing and global supply from India.
