Harmony Electronics will start construction of a second Manufacturing facility in Thailand, expanding crystal resonator production capacity.
Harmony Electronics announces the start of operations at a new crystal resonator manufacturing facility in Om Noi, Thailand, in the second half of 2025. The site will be the company’s second in the country and is intended to strengthen production capacity and reduce supply chain risk.
The facility is expected to serve sectors including consumer electronics, data communications, automotive, industrial systems, and medical technology. Harmony expects certification under IATF-16949 within two years.
The site will focus on producing crystal resonators in miniature package sizes, components used in upgraded Wi-Fi systems, servers, telecommunications, AI and IoT devices.
The Om Noi plant will operate on a continuous schedule and employ automation to increase output. It is located west of Bangkok with access to two airports. The company states that ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and IATF-16949 certifications are in progress. Plans also include ISO 14064 and ISO 14067, in line with carbon reduction requirements.
By expanding in Thailand, Harmony aims to reduce dependence on production bases in China, Taiwan and Japan. C. Ching Yang, Chairman and General Manager of Harmony Electronics, said, “By localising production in Southeast Asia, Harmony is addressing the challenges of tariffs and trade disruptions.”
Industry estimates project the global crystal oscillator market to grow from US$2.89 billion in 2025 to US$3.66 billion in 2030, supported by demand for compact, high-performance electronics.
