Scaling India’s power grid at pace, Hartek lands ₹7.35 billion in substation projects across nine states, boosting transmission strength and renewable energy integration nationwide.
EPC company Hartek has clinched new substation contracts worth a combined ₹7.35 billion across India, as its footprint grows in grid infrastructure projects spanning utilities, independent power producers and industrial clients.
The newly awarded work covers the design and delivery of substation and transmission assets operating between 66kV and 765kV, aimed at strengthening both regional and interstate power networks. The projects are expected to improve grid stability, boost transmission capacity, and support smoother electricity evacuation from renewable and conventional generation sites.
According to the company, the contracts are distributed across nine states: Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Andhra Pradesh.
With India continuing to add renewable capacity and expand industrial output, demand for resilient transmission infrastructure is rising sharply. Hartek noted that the latest order wins place them in a strong position to support grid modernisation efforts, particularly as states work to accommodate variable renewable energy and growing power consumption.
The company said the projects will draw on its end-to-end engineering, procurement and construction capabilities, covering substations, switchyards and protection systems required for seamless integration with existing grids.
In parallel, Hartek is expanding into integrated solar-plus-storage solutions, reflecting a broader shift towards hybrid energy systems that combine generation with battery storage to improve reliability and flexibility.
The company added that strengthening its nationwide execution network remains a priority as it pursues further opportunities in power transmission, renewable integration and large industrial electrification projects.
