JAVAD EMS (JEMS) has announced expansion of its quality and inspection capabilities with the installation of four new AOI systems from Nordson Test & Inspection, including three SQ3000 systems and one SQ3000-X designed to support large-format assemblies.
The new systems were recently brought online with installation and training support, and the team is beginning to integrate the equipment into production across multiple lines.
The new investment gives JAVAD EMS more capacity and flexibility in its inspection process. Three of the newly added systems are Nordson SQ3000 platforms, while the fourth, the SQ3000-X, can inspect larger circuit boards up to 710 x 610 mm. This is especially useful for customers producing bigger and more complex boards that need accurate inspection at high production speeds.
The systems use Nordson’s Multi-Reflection Suppression (MRS) technology, which reduces errors caused by reflections from shiny surfaces. This helps deliver more accurate and consistent inspection results for SMT, microelectronics, and machined assemblies.
The SQ3000 platform combines advanced 3D sensors and a parallel projector system to perform high-precision inspections without slowing down production. By capturing multiple images at the same time and processing them with advanced software, the system improves defect detection and measurement accuracy.
The upgrade also makes operation easier for JAVAD EMS. The software includes simple multi-touch controls and 3D visualisation tools that reduce setup time and operator training requirements.
Another important feature is AI2 (Autonomous Image Interpretation) technology, which uses preloaded data libraries and automated learning tools to speed up programming. In many cases, setup can be completed in less than 13 minutes, helping support fast changeovers in high-mix manufacturing environments.
