Powering India’s clean energy ambitions, Odisha’s new solar facility by Jupiter International and AMPIN promises integrated manufacturing strength and localisation.
On Friday, April 10, 2026, a new integrated solar cell and module manufacturing facility was launched in Bhubaneswar, established through a joint venture between Jupiter International Limited and AMPIN Energy Transition Private Limited.
The platform, named AMPIN Solar One Private Limited, was inaugurated by Odisha’s Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi.
The venture aims to build and operate a fully integrated solar cell and module production capability to support India’s broader energy transition goals. The facility is expected to help reduce dependence on imports and ensure a reliable domestic supply of high-performance solar components.
Speaking at the inauguration, Alok Garodia, Chairman and Managing Director of Jupiter International Limited, said: “This is a significant step aimed towards building a stronger domestic manufacturing backbone for India’s energy transition.”
“This platform brings together scale, manufacturing depth and quality-focused execution, so as to enable the reliable supply of high-performance cells and modules from within the country,” he added.
AMPIN Solar One Private Limited combines Jupiter’s manufacturing strength with AMPIN’s focus on renewable energy, positioning the venture to play a role in India’s push for self-reliant energy infrastructure.
However, the company is yet to disclose a timeline and future expansion plans of this joint venture.
The facility is expected to support the country’s solar deployment targets by providing locally manufactured modules for projects across sectors.
