While boosting its Indian operations to meet growing demand across industries, Kaynes Technology is expanding with acquisitions in Japan and Taiwan.
Indian electronics manufacturing services (EMS) provider Kaynes Technology is eyeing global expansion, pursuing acquisitions in Japan and Taiwan to enhance its manufacturing capabilities.
Raghu Panicker, CEO of Kaynes SemiCon, the company’s subsidiary, revealed that these acquisitions, still in the early stages in Japan and the final stages in Taiwan, aim to strengthen their technical expertise and global footprint in the EMS sector. Moreover, it will also improve production quality and efficiency at its Indian facilities.
The company is also investing heavily in expanding its operations within India, including new EMS plants in Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, Jammu, and Chennai, to meet the growing industrial, automotive, and consumer electronics demand. Panicker emphasised their focus on creating a vertically integrated EMS ecosystem that serves both domestic and international clients.
In addition, Kaynes is targeting high-growth sectors such as industrial automation, smart infrastructure, and electric vehicle (EV) components. The company is also working on developing advanced electronics for railway safety and space technology, including anti-collision systems for rail networks.
India’s electronics manufacturing sector is growing rapidly, fueled by government incentives and rising domestic demand. Kaynes Technology’s expansion aligns with the broader trend of global manufacturers diversifying supply chains, with India nears its goal of electronics production reaching US$500 billion by 2030.
