Driving faster post-IPO growth, LG Electronics India reorganises its leadership structure to sharpen strategy and strengthen market execution.
LG Electronics India has announced a significant leadership reorganisation aimed at accelerating growth following its recent IPO. The company confirmed that Sanjay Chitkara, previously Chief Sales Officer, has been elevated to Co-Chief Sales and Marketing Officer. He will continue to work closely with Managing Director Hong Ju Jeon, who now also assumes the additional responsibility of Chief Sales and Marketing Officer, giving him oversight of the strategic convergence of sales and marketing functions.
The company said the expanded role for Jeon is intended to keep senior leadership closer to market dynamics and consumer insights as competition intensifies. Jeon will also take unified charge of LG’s entire manufacturing ecosystem in India, including facilities in Noida and Pune, as well as the new plant under development in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh. LG noted that this consolidation is crucial as it scales up its ‘Make in India’ capabilities to serve both domestic and export markets.
Further changes include the appointment of Chang Hwan Kim as Customer Care and Service Officer, enhancing the company’s focus on after-sales service. Jwa Nam Kim, currently the India HR Head, will become the Chief Human Resource Officer, tasked with steering talent development and organisational culture in the post-IPO phase.
Commenting on the restructuring, Jeon said the leadership changes reflect LG’s evolving responsibilities to shareholders and customers, enabling faster decision-making and more cohesive management. He added that India remains central to LG’s Global South strategy, and the streamlined structure will help the company capture new opportunities while strengthening its market leadership.
