The project involves conducting high-precision track geometry surveys
Matrix Geo Solutions Limited has achieved a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from Central Railway for a precision track geometry survey project covering more than 300 km of railway tracks. The contract, valued at ₹1.24 crore (inclusive of GST), will be executed over 18 months.
The project involves conducting high-precision track geometry surveys using advanced geospatial technology to assess railway track alignment and identify deviations before they develop into safety risks. The data generated will support timely maintenance, improve track alignment, reduce operational costs, and enhance passenger comfort while enabling safe train operations at speeds of up to 160 km/h.
With India’s railway network expanding rapidly, accurate track geometry has become increasingly important for ensuring operational safety, ride quality, and long-term infrastructure reliability. Matrix Geo Solutions’ surveying technology provides precise measurements of track alignment, allowing engineers to detect irregularities and implement corrective measures in line with railway engineering standards.
The technology also supports better asset management and maintenance planning by enabling early identification of track defects, helping railway authorities improve operational efficiency and reduce long-term maintenance requirements.
