Production of RhinoTech screen protectors begins at Optiemus’ Noida facility, ahead of a September market rollout.
Optiemus Infracom Limited has launched RhinoTech, a tempered glass screen protector brand developed with glass engineered by Corning. The range will be manufactured at the company’s Noida facility and is scheduled for market release in India by the end of September 2025.
The company projects revenues of ₹18–20 billion from RhinoTech by the end of FY27. The initial product line is aimed at premium smartphones, with expansion into mid-range and entry-level devices planned. Distribution will be through the brand’s website and authorised retail channels in select cities.
RhinoTech products include anti-microbial glass and an unlimited one-year replacement policy. Each unit will carry a fog mark for authenticity. Optiemus stated that the initiative supports its strategy to increase domestic manufacturing of high-value mobile accessories.
The Indian tempered glass screen protector market is estimated at 400 million units in 2025, with a retail value of around ₹200 billion. Over 90% of current demand is met by low-cost imports, which has contributed to quality variability and an unorganised supply structure.
On 28 July 2025, the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) introduced the first national standard for “Chemically Tempered Glass Screen Protectors”, aimed at regulating quality and ensuring consistency across the market.
Ashok Kumar Gupta, Chairman of Optiemus Infracom, said the company intends to make BIS-certified screen protectors widely available for Indian users. Corning India’s Managing Director, Sudhir Pillai, noted that the collaboration is intended to meet growing domestic demand for locally produced, quality-certified screen protectors.
