Driving the next big wave of global innovation, Samsung highlights India’s rapid rise with 14,000 thousand patents filed.
Samsung has filed more than 14,000 patents from India and expects the country to steer the next era of meaningful global innovation, the company said. Marking 30 years of operations in India, Samsung reported revenue of ₹1.11 trillion and described the nation as central to its worldwide innovation strategy.
The company said its growing patent portfolio from India reflects the strength of local talent and the scale of its research work. It added that the coming decade will bring more products built in India, designed in India, and created for global markets. Samsung leaders stressed that India is shaping the future of smart homes, connected living, and intelligent devices powered by artificial intelligence that can understand the country’s cultural diversity.
Samsung entered India in 1995 with televisions and has since expanded into major manufacturing and design operations. It now runs two plants in Chennai and Noida, three research and development centres in Delhi, Noida, and Bengaluru, and a design centre in the Delhi region, making it one of the largest global technology players in the country.
Company President JB Park said India’s creativity and ambition have guided Samsung’s journey. He added that young consumers expect secure and intuitive technology and reaffirmed Samsung’s commitment to working with the Government of India to support a digitally empowered and inclusive future.
