Claiming to have India’s largest SMT line, VVDN opens advanced facility in Manesar, boosting local innovation, AI hardware production, and creating 3000 high-tech jobs.
VVDN Technologies has opened a new surface mount technology (SMT) Line and mechanical innovation park at its ‘Global Innovation Park’ in Manesar, Haryana. The facility was inaugurated by Union Minister for Electronics and IT Ashwini Vaishnaw, who called it a step forward in strengthening India’s electronics manufacturing base.

The SMT Line, now VVDN’s largest, can support PCBs (printed circuit boards) up to 850mm x 560mm and place up to 250,000 components per hour. The adjoining 150,000 sq. ft. mechanical innovation park includes equipment for tool-making, CNC (computer numerical control), EDM (electrical discharge machining), and injection moulding to support end-to-end product development and manufacturing.
During the visit, Vaishnaw said, “India now has the talent not only to manufacture but also to design sophisticated electronic products.”
He added that over 5000 engineers working on AI-embedded systems at the facility reflect the country’s growing capabilities in design and innovation.
The Minister also noted that VVDN has deployed 6000 AI servers, describing it as a “milestone that showcases India’s hardware capability.” He said that the increasing focus on indigenously developed design tools is a crucial step toward technological self-reliance.
The facility is expected to create over 3000 skilled jobs. Vaishnaw spoke with VVDN engineers and workers, encouraging continued efforts to strengthen the domestic electronics ecosystem.
He also reiterated the government’s focus on building a trusted supply chain supported by IP protection and local innovation.
