Nanotech Turns Ten, Pivots from Distribution to Solutions

A decade on, Nanotech navigates a shifting test and measurement market and expands into BMS manufacturing, aiming to position itself in a highly competitive landscape.

Nanotech Test and Measurement Solution, a Gurugram-based distributor in the test and measurement segment, has completed ten years of operations. Founded in 2016, the company has grown alongside a domestic market that has expanded in both scale and complexity.

The milestone was discussed during an exclusive interaction at the electronica India and productronica India 2026, held in Greater Noida on April 8, 2026. Speaking to EFY, Ravi Mehta, General Manager at Nanotech, described the journey as significant for a distributor-led business.

“For any distributor, starting their business from scratch and achieving their milestone completing one decade is a very proud and honourable moment,” he said, adding that it remains “a proud, emotional moment as well for us.”

Headquartered in Gurugram, Haryana, Nanotech serves sectors such as automotive, electronics manufacturing, and research and development (R&D).

Over the past decade, the company has witnessed a shift in market expectations. “Now, it is the solution-based market rather than the box-type equipment,” Mehta noted, pointing to a transition from standalone instrumentation to integrated solutions. He added that increased competition has been accompanied by market growth; “new challenges are there, but new opportunities are also there,” he told EFY.

In a recent development, Nanotech has begun work on in-house battery management system (BMS) solutions, with manufacturing planned in Bengaluru. The move reflects a push towards localisation and alignment with domestic manufacturing policies. Alongside this, the company is focusing on emerging areas, including solar, energy storage, water systems, and semiconductor applications.

Summing up the approach, Mehta said, “We understand the technical requirement. Rather than force selling, we are focused on the solution provider.”
