What is bi-directional EV charging?

Traditional electric vehicle charging involves drawing energy from the grid to charge the vehicle’s battery. Bi-directional EV charging, also known as V2G (Vehicle-to-Grid) technology, takes this concept a step further from the traditional one-way flow of electricity. While the traditional charger allows the electricity to flow from the grid to the vehicle battery, bi-directional chargers enable a two-way exchange of energy.
