Backed by India’s National Quantum Mission, Strangeworks taps into India for quantum computing.
Strangeworks, the Austin-based quantum computing company that makes advanced computing accessible, is planting deeper roots globally with an expansion into India and Sri Lanka. Extending its existing footprint in the US, Europe, and Japan to one of the most rapidly advancing regions in quantum and AI technology.
The National Quantum Mission (NQM) in India is funding hundreds of millions into developing indigenous quantum capabilities. Add to that a vibrant ecosystem of startups, top-tier research institutions, and cross-sector demand from industries like energy, pharma, finance, and logistics.
Strangework has collaborated with BQP in 2022, an Indian quantum-accelerated digital twin software company, known for simulations on high-performance race cars.
To lead regional growth, Strangeworks has tapped industry veteran Pathy Iyer as Director of India Sales and Marketing, with 30 years of experience working at HP, Agilent, and Keysight, in technology for research and education.
With support from Strangeworks’ European teams and centralised marketing operations, Strangeworks aims to offer seamless onboarding and consistent service quality across new regions. They say it is a mission to accelerate access to transformative technologies.
