The latest commissioning strengthens the company’s presence in India’s renewable energy sector
Adani Green Energy has operationalised 510 MW of renewable power projects at Khavda in Gujarat, further expanding its clean energy portfolio in India.
In a filing to the stock exchanges, the company said that 510.1 MW of projects have been commissioned through its stepdown subsidiaries. With this addition, Adani Green Energy’s total operational renewable generation capacity has increased to 17,982.3 MW.
The latest commissioning strengthens the company’s presence in India’s renewable energy sector and adds momentum to the ongoing scale-up of its Khavda renewable energy park.
Earlier, during an investor call, Adani Green Energy CEO Ashish Khanna said the company is targeting around 5.6 GW of greenfield capacity additions in calendar year 2025. According to him, this would represent nearly 14% of India’s total solar and wind capacity additions during the period.
Khanna had also noted that Adani’s Khavda project already has an operational portfolio of 7.7 GW across solar, wind, and hybrid assets.
On the expansion outlook for Khavda, Khanna said capacity augmentation is expected to continue despite some challenges, particularly in the last quarter. He added that the company is likely to add 2–3 GW of evacuation-related augmentation from Khavda within the current month and quarter.
He further said another 1 GW of transmission capacity is expected to be added by the end of March, with timelines being closely tracked.
