With affordable AI devices and expanded reach across India, Asus aims for 30 per cent growth in 2025, driven by AI, gaming, and content creation PCs.
Asus, the Taiwanese PC manufacturer, is targeting a 30 per cent growth in 2025, driven by the rising demand for personal computers catering to artificial intelligence (AI), gaming, and content creation. According to an Economic Times report, Arnold Su, Vice President of Consumer and Gaming at Asus India, said that this growth will also be supported by its strategy to expand sales channels.
He noted that the share of AI PCs in the Indian consumer market is expected to surge from 5 per cent to 25-30 per cent, primarily due to the introduction of more affordable devices.
Asus maintains its leadership in the gaming and content creation segments in India, with AI PCs emerging as another promising area for growth in 2025. Su added that the company already holds a 40 per cent market share in the Indian copilot PC segment. He revealed that last year, most AI PCs were priced above ₹80,000, but Asus is now introducing AI PCs with Qualcomm Snapdragon processors starting at ₹65,990 from March 10, making them more accessible.
In terms of expanding its reach, Asus plans to increase its presence in India from 600 districts to 700 by 2025, with a network of 4500 active dealers. The company is also exploring deeper penetration into taluka-level markets, which comprise 6000 talukas across India.
The combination of strong demand across various product segments and enhanced channel reach will be key to achieving the target 30 per cent sales growth in 2025.
In 2024, despite a 7.8 per cent year-on-year decline in sales, Asus rebounded in the December quarter with the highest growth rate of 38.4 per cent among its peers. The company is optimistic about the growth of desktop PCs in India, expecting its market share to rise to 10 per cent in 2025 from 2-3 per cent in 2024.
