Fresh defence procurement continues to gather pace as Bharat Electronics adds ₹5.72 billion in new contracts, expanding its order book across multiple strategic platforms.
Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) has secured additional orders worth ₹5.72 billion since its previous disclosure on 22 June 2026, further expanding its order book through a series of contracts spanning defence electronics and government programmes.
The latest orders cover the supply of communication equipment, avionics, encryptors, tank sub-systems, electronic voting machines (EVMs), batteries, components, upgrades, spares, and associated services. The contracts reflect continued demand for BEL’s products across defence and strategic applications.
The Navratna public sector undertaking (PSU) under the Ministry of Defence (MoD) supplies electronic systems and equipment to the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force. Its portfolio includes communication systems, radar, electronic warfare solutions, avionics, naval equipment, weapon systems, and other mission-critical technologies.
The fresh contracts follow a steady stream of order announcements from BEL in recent months, supported by procurement from the defence and government sectors. The company has continued to strengthen its order pipeline through military modernisation programmes, lifecycle support, and strategic electronics.
BEL also reported improved financial performance for the fourth quarter of FY26. Consolidated net profit rose 4.61 per cent year-on-year to ₹22.25 billion, while revenue from operations increased 11.74 per cent to ₹102.24 billion over the corresponding quarter of FY25.
The latest contracts are expected to further strengthen BEL’s order book and support continued execution of defence and strategic electronics programmes across India.
