New Innovation Center in Taiwan, fast-tracks real-world factory simulation setups, helping electronics firms test machines and train staff before scaling global production.
Delta has inaugurated its new Smart Manufacturing Innovation Centre at Zhongli Plant 6 in Taiwan, aimed at accelerating the global shift to AI-led, digital twin-enabled manufacturing, to use virtual replicas of physical machines or production lines to simulate, monitor, and optimize real-world operations in real time.
This facility will support manufacturers in electronics and semiconductor sectors with real-time production testing, workforce training, and integration of advanced technologies like the NVIDIA Omniverse platform.
Spread over 500 square metres, the Centre acts as a one-stop hub offering simulation-based training, hands-on production trials, and equipment validation. It features modular production setups, a 3D monitoring production line, and live equipment environments to help businesses validate machine and software performance before scaling operations.
A key highlight is the Delta & NVIDIA Cyber-Physical Integration Classroom. This joint initiative allows both manufacturers and system integrators to learn practical applications of AI, digital twins, and robotics in smart manufacturing.
The curriculum includes scenario-based workshops covering machine design, production line integration, and optimisation of manufacturing workflows. Future training programmes will also include modules focused on robotic simulation using NVIDIA Isaac Sim and design-to-deployment strategies on NVIDIA Omniverse.
The Centre’s broader goal is to help enterprises resolve challenges in integrating new machines into legacy systems and reduce the need for repeated on-site testing. By offering a plug-and-play testing and training environment, Delta aims to support faster deployment of scalable smart production lines across global factory locations.
The launch comes at a time when the electronics industry is under pressure to shorten development cycles while increasing resilience across distributed production networks. Delta’s facility offers a replicable model for companies seeking to adopt AI-driven infrastructure and streamline their path to digital transformation.
Nearly 100 industry, academic, and government stakeholders attended the opening ceremony, underlining the Centre’s strategic role in advancing industrial upgrades and global smart manufacturing capabilities.
