Empowering youth with drone skills, AVPL International’s Hisar RPTO earns DGCA approval, offering 10 flying zones and advancing India’s drone training ecosystem.
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has granted approval to AVPL International’s Drone Remote Pilot Training Organisation (RPTO) in Sisai, Hisar, Haryana. The facility now features 10 approved flying zones, making it one of the few RPTOs in India with such extensive training areas.
The company noted that this marks a major step forward for drone education and skill development in northern India.
The RPTO offers practical and classroom training, giving students comprehensive exposure to drone operations and regulatory compliance. It aims to equip youth with drone skills relevant to industries such as agriculture, infrastructure, logistics, security, and environmental management.
“This DGCA approval is a proud achievement for us,” said Dr Preet Sandhuu, Founder and Managing Director of AVPL International. “Our focus is on preparing a skilled workforce ready for the future of drone innovation.”
By offering industry-aligned training, AVPL aims to make Hisar a regional hub for drone technology and create new employment pathways for rural and urban youth alike.
With over a decade of experience in unmanned aerial systems, the company engages in indigenous design, manufacturing, and application of drones across key sectors such as defence, logistics, agriculture, mining, and urban development.
According to AVPL, this initiative reinforces its commitment to the Make in India mission and to driving sustainable socio-economic growth through technology and innovation.
