Boosting operational readiness in Ladakh, the Indian Army partners with JCBL Group to launch a new generation vehicle repair hub and warehouse at Leh’s 14 Corps.
The Indian Army has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Airbornics Defence & Space Pvt Ltd (ADSL), a JCBL Group company, to establish a new-generation vehicle (NGV) repair hub and warehouse at the 14 Corps Zonal Workshop in Leh, Ladakh.
The collaboration aims to strengthen logistics efficiency and improve the operational preparedness of the Army’s Fire & Fury Corps, which is responsible for security in the Ladakh region.
ADSL will provide technical expertise, on-ground support, and training. The company will stock essential spares for Army vehicles it has supplied and coordinate delivery of critical parts used in the Army’s ordnance and engineering channels.
According to the company, the facility will integrate a dedicated original equipment manufacturer (OEM) warehouse and maintenance centre for NGVs, ensuring faster servicing and a reliable supply of spare parts. With Leh’s harsh terrain and climate posing unique operational challenges, the hub is expected to reduce repair timelines and support sustained mobility of military assets in forward areas.
The MoU was signed during a ceremony at Headquarters 14 Corps. Lt Gen Hitesh Bhalla, Corps Commander, presided on behalf of the Army, with Brig Nipoon Sood, Brig EME, formalising the agreement. Senior Army officers, including division commanders from across Ladakh, were present.
Representing the JCBL Group were Mr Raj Kumar Pandey, Director and CEO, and Col Rajwinder Singh (Retd), COO.
Executives from defence and industrial firms such as TASL, BFL, Polaris, JSW, and MDSL also attended, reflecting industry-wide support for strengthened defence logistics.
Lt Gen Bhalla stated that closer engagement with industry at the field level would “significantly enhance operational readiness” and confirmed that similar hubs are planned at three more key locations within the 14 Corps area.
JCBL Group MD Rishi Aggarwal said the partnership reflects the company’s commitment to supporting India’s frontline forces and ensuring maximum equipment availability in one of the country’s most strategic military regions.
“The JCBL Group takes pride in being the industry partner of the Indian Army,” he said.
