As part of the MoU, Hyperloop players Hardt and TuTr agree to engage in discussions and negotiations in good faith to converge on Hyperloop technology

Hardt Hyperloop, a leading European hyperloop technology company recently announced a strategic partnership with Indian hyperloop technology player, TuTr Hyperloop. With this agreement, the parties plan to achieve interoperable hyperloop technology between Europe and India and foster combined efforts in the development, demonstration, de-risking, and deployment of hyperloop technology. It must be noted that Hyperloop is an ultra-high-speed ground transportation system for both public and goods. It was first proposed by the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, Elon Musk in 2013.

As per the official release, the partners signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) during the Dutch Trade Mission to India, in the presence of Mr Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Indian Minister of Jal Shakti and Mr Mark Harbers, Dutch Minister of Infrastructure and Water Management.

Hoping to speed up the development of hyperloop technology, this cooperation aims to develop a roadmap that would result in an operational demonstration route before 2030. The goal is to bring it closer to commercialization and transform the future of transportation, conveyed the press note.

Co-founder and CCO of Hardt Hyperloop, Mars Geuze stated, “We are excited to embark on this European-Indian collaboration between hyperloop companies, paving the way for seamless transportation across borders. By emphasizing interoperable hyperloop systems, we aim to reduce barriers to entry and foster a dynamic, innovative industry. Our partnership with TuTr will help expand the adoption of hyperloop technology globally, making high-speed, sustainable transportation more accessible to people around the world.”

“TuTr Hyperloop has embarked on an Atmanirbhar initiative in the IIT Madras Ecosystem to develop a cost-effective sustainable high-speed mobility technology solution for India,” remarked Dr Aravind Bharadwaj, co-founder and CTO, TuTr Hyperloop. Excited to partner with Hardt on the European Indian Collaboration to create common standards for an interoperable hyperloop system, Bharadwaj believes that it will ensure the worldwide deployment of their solution, while also benefitting India.

Dutch Minister of Infrastructure and Water Management, Mark Harbers commented, “The collaboration between Hardt and TuTr is a positive development. The Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management has been an early supporter of hyperloop technology as an international public-private development. Witnessing the growth of the hyperloop ecosystem is a testament to the power of collaboration required to realize sustainable and groundbreaking transportation solutions like hyperloop.”

Hardt is a European hyperloop technology company that develops and supplies hyperloop technologies. With its test facilities in the Netherlands, Hardt boasts of having demonstrated core hyperloop technologies. The company claims to have received a commitment from the European Commission for an investment.

TuTr Hyperloop is an Indian hyperloop technology company that designs, develops amongst others, ultra-high-speed ground transportation systems, consisting of vehicles travelling in reduced-pressure environments for passenger, cargo, and other transportation applications.
