The engineering team at FPT will develop custom testing programs for various chip types as well as an AI-powered platform to automate semiconductor chip test program development.
FPT corporation has begun trial operations of its chip testing and packaging plant in Vietnam. FPT Analysis Technologies joint company’s Bac Ninh plant will have six production lines and a maximum capability of 300 million chips per year, according to a company statement.
The facility covering an area of 1600 square meters is located in Yen Phong II-C industrial park, providing Vietnam with a critical position in the semiconductor supply chain. The plant uses Automated Test Equipment (ATE) system, with a handler equipment to test and sort the chips. The testing area is situated within an ISO Class 7 or a Class 10,000 cleanroom, to manage environment and dust factors.
The plant will operate under international standards such as ISO 9001 for Quality, ISO 14001 for environmental management, and ISO 45001 for OSHA requirements. It will also maintain cleanroom controls of ISO 14644 and electrostatic discharge controls.

The company is expecting its first testing order from a South Korean partner.
