Plenome aiming to expand into the global market with its innovative solution on data security.
IITM incubated startup Plenome, raised ₹65 Million in seed funding to develop Blockchain tech, for safe data transfers and to stretch into global market sectors like, healthcare and voting. Founded by IIT-M faculty professor Prabhu Rajagopala, builds Distributed Ledger Technology, a blockchain-based technology. Useful for storing data securely, in sensitive sectors like Health information and voting.
The funding was led by Luxembourg-based investment firm Ovington Capital Partner, additional support by an UAE based firm AADI, associated with high profile Indian deep-tech ventures, CynLr and ePlane .
Plenome is now looking to expand into the global market, offering its blockchain solutions through Distributed Ledger Technology. Its Co-Founder, Vijayaraja Rathinasamy, an IITM Master’s student, with expertise in embedded systems and blockchain technology, is spearheading the product development side of the company.
One of the company’s projects include to secure and manage the organ transplant database. It is in the trial phase under the partnership with the Apex Organ donation authority at South Indian State. The solution aims to streamline sensitivity donor-recipient data using Plenome’s OrganEase system.
Plenome is also pioneering a novel pay-per-use model for conducting remote elections in large organisations, using BlockVote, its Blockchain voting tools, that they developed earlier for IIT-Madras student elections.
In the Healthcare segment, Plenum is developing Ashwin, an AI-powered electronic data capture, which helps healthcare spaces record and maintain data securely.
