Scaling to 10,000 EVs, Magenta Mobility taps Bosch’s tech expertise to strengthen digital operations and secure its backend as India’s electric logistics race accelerates.
Magenta Mobility, a company specialising in electric vehicle (EV) fleet logistics, has entered into a partnership with Bosch Mobility Platform and Solutions (MPS) to enhance its backend digital systems. The collaboration will focus on strengthening cloud infrastructure, managing cybersecurity risks, and improving operational efficiency.
The company currently operates more than 2700 EVs in seven Indian cities and is aiming to expand to 10,000 vehicles by 2026. As part of this expansion, Magenta is investing in its digital growth.
According to the company, Bosch will provide technical support in areas including cloud operations, infrastructure monitoring, and vulnerability management.
However, Magenta will retain full control of its proprietary platforms, such as its telematics system and internal fleet management tools. These platforms are considered critical to Magenta’s logistics model and will continue to be developed in-house.
“The scale of our operations demands a digital infrastructure that is both resilient and adaptable,” said Maxson Lewis, CEO of Magenta Mobility. “This collaboration allows us to focus on core innovation while ensuring that key backend systems are managed with the expertise they require.”
Pradeep Ramachandra, Chief Technology Officer at Bosch MPS, noted that the partnership reflects the growing needs of the industry. “Fleets transitioning to electric mobility need reliable and secure digital systems. Our role is to ensure those systems are in place and functioning optimally,” he said.
The company is yet to disclose the financial information of this deal.
